ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – Jacob Terpstra and Oren Shtrom each scored for Alaska Anchorage in a 6-2 loss to Long Island Friday.
After a scoreless first period, the Sharks scored five straight goals in the first 11:47 of the second period.
Aaron Reierson and Camden Shasby set-up Jacob Terpstra for a power-play goal at 13:32 of the second period to put the Seawolves on the board.
Isaac Lambert concluded the scoring for LIU with an unassisted goal at 13:55 of the second.
Oren Shtrom scored the lone goal of the third period for the Seawolves at 3:41 of the third period. Logan Acheson and Dylan Contreras assisted on the goal.
LIU out-shot UAA 32-16 and both teams finished 1-for-3 on the powerplay.
Tyler Krivtsov started in net for UAA finishing with 11 saves and four goals against.
Greg Orosz made 15 saves and gave up two goals in 29:37.
Alaska Anchorage and Long Island will play the second game of its three-game series Saturday.
