The setter posted 8.67 assists per set and 1.22 kills per set on .360 hitting, leading UAA to a 3-2 win over No. 21 Simon Fraser on Thursday and a 3-1 win over Western Washington on Saturday. The Wauwatosa, Wis., native also had six total blocks and 24 total digs to help UAA hold its opponents under .200 hitting both nights.
On Thursday, Trotter had 43 assists, six kills on .417 hitting, 12 digs and two block assists as the Seawolves beat SFU 22-25, 16-25, 25-18, 25-23, 15-11. "Hannah did a great job leading our offense against Simon Fraser and Western Washington," said UAA head coach
Morgan Hooe. "She consistently made smart decisions, distributed the ball well and got everyone involved offensively. She was also an offensive threat herself, keeping opposing defenses guessing and helping our team stay balanced and competitive."
This is the first career player-of-the-week honor for Trotter and the third this season for a Seawolf, along with
Kyana Gabriel's offensive POW award from Aug. 31-Sept. 6 and
Bella Burney's defensive award from Oct. 5-11.
