PORTLAND, ORE. – The University of Alaska Anchorage had nine cross country student-athletes earn GNAC Academic All-Conference honors.
Stephen Zukowski (3.62, management and marketing), Hunter Taddy (3.95, management), Sam Roy (3.77, civil engineering), Anthony Porter (3.57, mechanical engineering), Julio Ramirez (3.41, kinesiology), Anthony Ruiz (3.22, kinesiology), Edgar Vera (3.22, kinesiology) earned the honor for the men's squad, and Avery Williamson (3.86, MA interdisciplinary studies) and Makendra McCarty (3.37, health sciences) earned the honor for the women's squad.
To qualify for academic all-conference, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20, must be in at least their second season competing for their team and must have competed on the course during the 2026 campaign.
UAA will compete at the Lewis Crossover Oct. 10.
