STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, COLO. – Corbin Carpenter led the University of Alaska Anchorage ski team with a fifth-place finish in the 20-kilometer freestyle at the Colorado Invitational Friday.
He covered the course in 57:41.
Erling Bjornstad was the second Seawolf to finish in the top-10 finishing ninth in 58:07.
Dashe McCabe was the top finisher for the Seawolf women placing 11th in 1:12:41.
Marit Flora was 16th (1:16:51), and Alexandra Otto was 19th (1:17:25).
Hedda Halvari was 22nd (1:18:51), Constance Lapointe 24th (1:21:31) and Marlie Molinaro 25th (1:22:01).
Other finishes for the men included Parke Chapin 19th (1:01:13), Hermod Bangstad 21st (1:01:48), Garrett Siever 22nd (1:03:26) and Matt Seline 24th (1:07:14).
The Seawolves are currently fifth out of nine teams.
Utah won both races with Zachary Jayne winning the men's (57:03) and Erica Laven winning the women's (1:06:51).
The Colorado Invitational concludes Saturday with the 7.5-kilometer classic race.
