Box Score FAIRBANKS, ALASKA – Ryan Johnson scored his fourth goal of the season for Alaska Anchorage in a 5-1 loss at Alaska Fairbanks in the eighth and final game of the Alaska Airlines Governor's Cup Saturday.
Michael Citara opened the scoring with the first of three power-play goals for the Nanooks at 14:49 of the first period.
Ryan Johnson tied the game at 1-1 at 7:29 of the second period when he sent a wrist shot from the top of the circle through traffic. Johnson was assisted on the power-play goal by Dimitry Kebreau and Karter McNarland, who tallied his team-leading 20th point of the season.
The Nanooks scored two goals in the second period and two more in the third period.
UAF outshot UAA 36-28, with Tyler Krivtsov finishing with 31 saves for the Seawolves.
UAA finished 1-for-3 on the powerplay, and UAA was 3-for-8.
Alaska Anchorage will participate in the inaugural United Collegiate Hockey Cup starting March 5th.
