FRISCO, COLO. – Marit Flora led the University of Alaska Anchorage with a fifth-place finish in the 7.5-kilometer freestyle race at the DU Invite Sunday.
She finished in a time of 22:22.
Constance Lapointe was 17th (23:28), and Dashe McCabe was 18th (23:35).
Hedda Halvari and Alexandra Otto finished 21st (23:56) and 22nd (23:57).
Corbin Carpenter was the top UAA finisher in the men's race placing 13th (19:28).
Erling Bjornstad was 18th (19:44), Hermod Bangstad 20th (19:59), Garrett Siever 21st (20:01) and Parke Chapin 22nd (20:30).
UAA finished fifth out of nine teams.
Tilde Baangman of Colorado won the women's race (20:56), and Yannick Zellweger of Denver won the men's race (18:39).
Alaska Anchorage will compete in the 20-kilometer freestyle races at the Colorado Invite Feb. 13.
