Hockey announces 2026-27 season schedule

ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – The University of Alaska Anchorage announced its 2026-27 hockey schedule Tuesday, highlighted by a season-opening series against defending national champion Denver and a six-game series against Alaska Fairbanks in the Alaska Airlines Governor's Cup.

Alaska Anchorage will host the defending national champions Denver Oct. 2-3 and will follow up with a two-game series at Michigan, which advanced to the Frozen Four in 2026, Oct. 9-10.

The Seawolves will host the Lakers of Lake Superior State Oct. 16-17 before playing three straight road series at Miami (OH) (Oct. 23-24), St. Thomas (Nov. 6-7) and Minnesota (Nov. 13-14).

Alaska Anchorage and Alaska Fairbanks will face off for the first of six games in the Alaska Airlines Governor's Cup November 20-21. The battle for the cup will continue with three games in Anchorage Dec. 4-5 and Feb. 20, before the finale Feb. 27 in Fairbanks.

Other home series include LIU (Dec. 11-12), Colorado College (Dec. 31-Jan. 1) and Lindenwood (Feb. 12-13).

Alaska Anchorage will play road series at Arizona State (Nov. 27-28), LIU (Jan. 23-24) and Stonehill (Jan. 29-30).

For the second straight season, UAA will compete at the United Collegiate Hockey Cup March 4-6.
