2000-01: Added Pac West co-Player of the Week honors (Feb. 12-18) to go with his already solid season. In wins over BYU-Hawaii and twice over MSU-Billings he scored 63 points, shooting 56.5 percent on threes, 61 percent overall and 91 percent from the line...his top performances as a senior included a career-high 30 points (9-7 FG, 7-14 3FG, 5-5 FT, 3 asst., 2 stls) in a Feb. 16 win over MSU-Billings; 27 points (9-12 FG, 7-10 3FG, 3 stls) in a road win at Saint Martin’s on Jan. 4; and 22 points (8-13 FG, 3-6 3FG) in a Feb. 12 win at BYU-Hawaii...he led the team in three-point accuracy at .447, ranking him third in the Pac West and No. 5 on UAA’s single-season list. He also ranked No. 5 on UAA’s single-season three-pointers made list at 72...in the free throw department, he ranked 4th in the Pac West at .885 and second on UAA’s single-season percentage list...for his career he finished as the school’s No. 2 all-time three-point and free throw accuracy man at .438 and .848, and No. 6 in threes made with 121...Wagner shot 17-for-23 (.739) from long range over a four-game stretch Jan. 19-Feb. 1...Wagner ranked second in the Pac West in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.65-1)...he was voted the squad’s Best Defensive Player for the second year in a row by his teammates and received the Rebounders Booster Club award for the player who best displays the qualities of sportsmanship and leadership toward teammates, coaches, referees, opponents, media and fans...1999-00: An accurate three-point shooter at 42.6 percent, that mark was the sixth-best single-season percentage in UAA history...steadily increased his scoring average after moving into a starting role in mid-January...scored in double figures in 11 of the final 16 games...scored career-high 19 on 6-of-8 (4-of-5 three-point) shooting in a key home win over Western Washington...established himself as UAA's defensive stopper...held nation's leading scorer, David Evans of BYU-Hawaii, 11 points under his average to help UAA upset the Pacific Division champion Seasiders...took over backup point guard duties after the season-ending injury to starter Ed Kirk...BEFORE UAA: The conference Player of the Year and a unanimous all-region selection at Otero Junior College in La Junta, Colo....averaged 16 points per game while shooting 49 percent (83-170) from three-point range...committed only 17 turnovers his sophomore season...averaged 17 ppg as a freshman, shooting 83 percent from the free throw line...recruited by Division I schools Alabama-Birmingham and San Jose State...JC coach was former Seawolf Tim Moser...spent 1995-97 completing his LDS missionary work in Zurich, Switzerland...HIGH SCHOOL: A two-year captain at Alta High, where he led his team to a state championship in 1992...selected region MVP as a senior and named to the Utah all-state team...set a state record with 29 points in one quarter, including eight three-pointers...earned all-region honors as a wide receiver for Alta's football team...PERSONAL: Born Taylor Wagner on Dec. 28, 1975 in Sandy, Utah...son of Carl and Mary Wagner...major is management.
