2013-14: Fifth-leading scorer with 7.0 points per game and 3rd-leading rebounder (3.9 rpg) for UAA squad that finished 17-13 and led the nation in best assist-turnover ratio and fewest turnovers per game … ranked 2nd in Great Northwest Athletic Conference with 3.2-to-1 A-T ratio and 19th in three-pointers made per game (1.5) … scored double figures on seven occasions, including four times in final seven regular-season games … improved numbers to 9.8 ppg and 4.4 rpg after moving into starting lineup for last eight contests … scored 12 points (4-6 3FG) and dished 5 assists with no turnovers in final home game, helping UAA to a school- and GNAC-record-setting 27 treys in a 96-77 win over Western Oregon … 14 points (4-7 3FG), 7 rebounds and 2 assists in narrow home loss to eventual GNAC champ Seattle Pacific; 14 points (4-7 3FG), 5 rebounds in road win over NW Nazarene; and 9 points (3-5 3FG), 9 rebounds and 4 assists without a turnover in non-league win over Holy Names … on UAA career lists, finished 18th in 3FGs made (113), 22nd in assists (201) and tied for 16th with 59 games started.

2012-13: Started 26 of 27 games, averaging 6.2 points, 2.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists for Seawolf squad that went 18-9 overall and finished 3rd in Great Northwest Athletic Conference at 11-7 … posted GNAC stats ranks of 8th in assist-turnover ratio (2.0), 11th in assists per game and 12th in 3FG% (.417) … scored double figures on eight occasions and dished 5-plus assists nine times … tied for team-high honors with 9 assists in a game, helping UAA to 73-72 home win over Northwest Nazarene … scored 14 points (4-8 3FG) with 5 assists in Carrs/Safeway Great Alaska Shootout win over Div. I Loyola Marymount … other top games included career-high 16 points (4-6 3FG), 5 assists in home win over Washington Adventist; 13 points (7-9 FT), 6 rebounds in AT&T Jamboree win over Colorado State-Pueblo; 15 points (4-5 3FG, 3-3 FT), 2 assists, 0 turnovers in 74-71 home win over Saint Martin’s; 13 points (4-4 FG, 3-3 3FG, 2-2 FT), 5 assists in road win over Simon Fraser; and 11 points (4-5 FG, 3-4 3FG) points in GNAC Tournament loss to Central Washington … finished junior season No. 19 on UAA career 3FG% list at .388.

2011-12: Averaged 4.5 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game, logging 23 starts for Seawolf club that finished 23-7 and made NCAA Tournament 2nd Round … turnover rate of one per 27.1 minutes (20 TO/542 min.) was best on team and 4th-best mark for a Seawolf in the GNAC era (since 2001-02) … posted 47-to-20 assist-turnover, helping Seawolves rank 5th nationally (1.49) as a team in that category … ranked 3rd on team with 34 three-pointers made and 20th in GNAC with .362 3FG% … scored double figures six times, including season-high 15 points (5-7 3FG) in Dec. 1 home win over Minot State … showed penchant for big shots, hitting late, go-ahead treys in comeback victories over Simon Fraser and Alaska Fairbanks … came just short of first double-double with 10 points  (3-7 3FG), team-high 9 rebounds, 3 assists, no turnovers and 2 steals in home win over defending GNAC champ Central Washington … other top games included 11 points (4-7 FG, 3-6 3FG) in win over Seattle Pacific; 10 points (3-5 FG, 2-4 3FG, 2-2 FT), 2 assists, no turnovers in just 14 minutes of home win over Montana State Billings; 9 points (3-4 3FG), 2 assists, no turnovers in road win over UAF; and 9 points (3-5 3FG), 3 rebounds, 4 assists, no turnovers in NCAA 1st Round victory over MSU Billings.

BEFORE UAA: Spent two seasons at fellow Div. II program Adams State in Alamosa, Colo., playing true freshman season in 2009-10 and redshirting in 2010-11 … played in 26 games as freshman, making 15 starts and averaging 3.3 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 16 minutes per game … started each of the squad’s final 10 games, earning role after tallying 10 points (3-4 FG) at Western New Mexico (Jan. 23) … also reached double-figures with season-high 11 points at Mesa State … recorded season-high 5 rebounds in season-opener against Oklahoma Panhandle State … dished season-high 4 assists in win over Fort Lewis … shot 34.6 percent (18 of 52) from three-point land and 80 percent (20-25) from free-throw line, and posted positive 1.1 assist-to-turnover ratio.

HIGH SCHOOL: Named 2008-09 Alaska Class 4A Player of the Year after captaining Dimond High to state title and 26-3 record … also earned all-conference and all-state accolades … named to several all-tournament teams, including at ASAA State Championships and 2009 Dimond Prep Shootout … earned All-Cook Inlet Conference and honorable mention all-state honors as junior in 2007-08 … MVP of 2007 Kankakee Holiday Tournament … was honorable mention All-CIC and team captain as sophomore … helped Lynx to consecutive State finishes of 3rd, 3rd, 4th and 1st from (2006-09) … competed in baseball, track and football, helping Dimond to State baseball title in 2009 as well … earned all-state and all-region honors as both pitcher and shortstop … named to State Tournament all-tournament team … also played American Legion ball and earned All-State Team of Excellence honors at both positions.

PERSONAL: Born Colton Merritt Bradley Lauwers on July 17, 1991 … son of Kim and Brad Lauwers … coached by father on 2009 baseball state-title team … father also won two ASAA 3A State basketball titles at Heritage Christian, coaching former Seawolf Lonnie Ridgeway on 2006 squad … mother played Div. I volleyball at Texas State and was UAA’s head coach from 1998-2004 … oldest of three brothers … physical education major.
