2001: Got a chance to show the athleticism that twice earned her all-conference honors in basketball. Massey led the Seawolves in digs with 11 each night in wins against Northwest Nazarene and Seattle University (Oct. 19-20). The 5-11 senior twice posted career-highs of nine kills during UAA’s 3-0 road trip Oct. 5-8, adding a personal-best 16 digs against Saint Martin’s. Massey, who played only one year of volleyball at UAA, had not played the sport since high school in 1996. A 4.0 student in nursing, Massey earned Verizon Academic All-District VIII and GNAC Academic All-Conference honors.

PREVIOUS: Returned to the volleyball court in 2001 for the first time since high school...starred two years for the Seawolves' basketball team, twice earning first team all-conference honors...ranked in the Pac West Conference's top 10 in six different categories as a senior, including second in rebounding (9.7 rpg)...helped lead UAA's 1999-00 squad to the second round of the NCAA Tournament and a 21-8 record, posting eight double-doubles that season...transferred to UAA after a standout two-year basketball career at Utah Valley State College.

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned eight varsity letters -- four in volleyball, three in basketball and one in track...helped lead her volleyball team to the Class 4A state semifinals as a senior...earned all-region and all-state basketball honors her senior season.

PERSONAL: Born Tiffany Anne Massey on Jan. 22, 1979 in Provo, Utah...daughter of Adrian and Valerie Massey...major is nursing.
