2021-22: (Senior Season): CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree...earned All-American honors in the 20-kilometer freestyle with a third place finish and placed 11th in the 10-kilometer freestyle at the NCAA National Championships...earned All-RMISA First Team honors...Competed at the Beijing Olympics finishing ninth in the team sprint with teammate Ben Ogden, finished 13th in the freestyle sprints and 66th in the 15-kilometer classic...won three medals at the US National Championships, a gold in the freestyle sprint, and bronze medals in the classic sprint and 15-kilometer classic race...finished in the top-10 in all seven races he competed in...won both the freestyle and classic races at the Utah Invite...finished second in the classic race at the RMISA Qualifier...earned National Collegiate All-Academic Ski Team honors from the United States Collegiate Ski Coaches Association.

2020-21 (Junior Season): Named to the National Collegiate All-Academic Ski Team by the United States Collegiate Ski Coaches Association...spent most of the season representing the United States on the World Cup...finished 26th in the classic sprint at the World Championships in Oberstdorf, Germany...finished 26th in the classic sprint and 39th in the 15-kilometer freestyle at the U23 World Championships in Vuokatti, Finland...competed in 11 races on the World Cup...finished second in the freestyle and seventh in the classic races at the RMISA Invitational at Utah.

2019-20 (Sophomore Season): Earned All-American honors with a 10th-place finish in the 10-kilometer freestyle at the NCAA Championships ... finished 13th in the freestyle sprints at the World Junior Championships ... placed fifth in the 10-kilometer classic and 12th in the 10-kilometer freestyle at the Utah Invite ... finished ninth in the 10-kilometer classic and 12th in the 10-kilometer classic at the Denver Invite ... made his international debut with a 30th-place finish in the freestyle sprints and 11th in the team sprint at the Dresden World Cup ... finished 13th in the freestyle sprints, second in the 10-kilometer classic and 29th in the 15-kilometer freestyle at the US National Championships. 

2018-19 (Freshman Season): Named to the National Collegiate All-Academic Ski Team by the United States Collegiate Ski Coaches Association ... Finished 26th in the classic and 38th in the freestyle at the NCAA Championships ... finished third in the classic sprints at the UAA Invite ... finished 11th in the classic races at the Montana State Invite ... placed in the top-25 seven times.

PRIOR TO UAA: Four-time state runner-up and seven-time all-state selection at North Tahoe High School ... three-time team captain ... distinguished scholar and a member of the honor roll. 

PERSONAL: Son of Dirk and Marty Schoonmaker ... father played soccer and lacrosse at Swarthmore College ... has one sister ... plans to major in health sciences.
