Edda Mutter, an Alpine skier from Totdnau, Germany, received All-America honors for her ninth-place showing in the slalom at the 2000 NCAA Championships. The junior competed for the majority of the season with a herniated disc in her back and broken ribs. She became only the second UAA skier to earn All-America distinctions for three consecutive years. Mutter also placed 25th in the giant slalom at the NCAAs, and third in the slalom at the Montana State Invitational.
