Karen Hoey, from Woodstock, Ill., closed out a prestigious four-year career in 1995 by earning the "Outstanding Senior Athlete Award" at the Division II National Championships as the highest-ranked senior in the all-around. She earned All-America honors for her third-place finish in the all-around at Nationals and also earned All-America recognition on the vault and balance beam, posting a then-school-record 9.8 in the preliminary round of vaulting. She was third on vault and 10th on beam.
