Jason Kaiser, from Anchorage, was UAA’s sixth All-American in men’s basketball. In his final season he earned first-team honors from Basketball Times and third-team accolades from the National Association of Basketball Coaches and Division II sports information directors. The former Service High School star completed his career as the Seawolves' third-leading career scorer despite playing just two years, and he is the only two-time winner of the Pacific West Conference Player of the Year award. He saved some of his best performances for UAA’s toughest competition, scoring 35 points in a nationally televised upset of Wake Forest in 1993 and then pouring in 39 points against Oklahoma State, a Final Four team, in his final season.
