Tiina Kantola, a native of Viermaki, Finland, was a four-year letterwinner in both Nordic skiing and cross country running at UAA. She received the 1985 Dean’s Cup academic excellence award and represented UAA at four consecutive NCAA Ski Championships. A 1986 graduate, Kantola married fellow ski team member Dave Hoffman and served as Seawolf Nordic coach from 1989-92. She was inducted to the Seawolf Hall of Fame in 2004.
