Sadie Bjornsen is a two-time Olympian who continues to represent the United States in international competitions.

Sadie Bjornsen (United States) - Nordic Skiing

Sadie Bjornsen has twice represented the United States at the Olympic Games. She finished ninth in the 4x5-kilometer mixed relay, 16th in the 10-kilometer classic and 30th in the 15-kilometer skiathlon at the 2014 Sochi Games. In 2018 in Pyeongchang, she placed fifth in the 4x5-kilometer mixed relay, 14th in the classic sprint, 15th in the 10-kilometer freestyle and 17th in the 30-kilometer classic mass start. She continues to compete for the US Ski Team. She was an All-American, RMISA Champion and a USCSCA/NSCA All-Academic selection for the Seawolves.

Eric Bjornsen (United States) - Nordic Skiing

Erik Bjornsen is a two-time Olympian for the United States. At the 2014 Sochi Olympics, he finished sixth in the team classic sprint, 11th in the 4x10-kilometer mixed relay, 38th in the 15-kilometer classic, 39th in the freestyle sprint and 41st in the 30-kilometer skiathlon. Erik finished sixth in the team freestyle sprint, 25th in the classic sprint, 41st in the 15-kilometer freestyle and 42nd in the 30-kilometer skiathlon at the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics. He continues to compete as a member of the US Ski Team.

Reese Hanneman skiing in Olympics

Reese Hanneman (United States) - Nordic Skiing

Reese Hanneman was a member of the US Ski Team that finished 14th in the 4x10-kilometer mixed relay at the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics. He continues to compete as a member of the US Ski Team.

Daniela Anguita (Chile) - Alpine Skiing

Daniela represented and was the flag bearer for Chile at the 2006 Torino Olympics. She competed for the Seawolves for one season. She is currently a teacher in Idaho. 

Anna Berecz (Hungary) - Alpine Skiing

Anna represented Hungary at the 2010 Vancouver and 2014 Sochi Olympics. At the Vancouver Olympic Games she competed in the downhill (35), super combined (27), super-G (DNF), slalom (45) and giant slalom (42). At the Vancouver Olympics she competed in the downhill (35), super combined (21), super-g (28), slalom (35) and giant slalom (48). Anna was a three-time USCSCA.NSCA All-Academic selection and is currently an assistant coach for the UAA ski team. 

Casey Wright (Australia) - Nordic Skiing

Casey represented Australia at the Pyeonchang Olympics placing 63rd in the classic sprint and 81st in the 10-kilometer freestyle. Casey earned All-Americans as a senior in the freestyle and was the first Seawolf to earn the Elite 90 Award and was a Google Cloud Academic All-American.

Adam Verrier skiing

Adam Verrier (United States) - Nordic Skiing

Adam Verrier was a member of the US Ski Team that competed at the 1994 Lillehammer Olympics. He is currently a volunteer assistant coach at UAA. 

Luka Vidmar (Slovenia) - Ice Hockey

Luka represented Slovenia at the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics. Luka skated in all four games and recorded four assists for Slovenia who finished ninth. He appeared in 114 games during his four-year career at UAA totaling 33 points. Luka earned WCHA Scholar-Athlete honors and was a three-time WCHA All-Academic Team selection. 

Mat Robinson (Canada) - Ice Hockey

Mat represented Canada at the 2018 Pyeongchang Olypics where he helped Team Canada to a bronze medal. He appeared in six games scoring one goal and one assist. Mat was a team captain for UAA and totaled 44 points in 142 career games for the Seawolves. He is currently playing in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). 

Hansi Gnad (Germany) - Basketball

Hansi was captain of the German basketball team at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona. The team finished with a 2-3 record in group play before falling to the Soviet Union in the quarterfinals. Hansi was a first-team All-American for the Seawolves, and still holds several Seawolf records including career rebounds (1,124), career blocked shots (145) and double-doubles (19). He is currently a professional basketball in Europe. 

Dave Duncan (Canada) - Skier Cross

Dave was a two-time Olympian for Canada in skier cross. He made his debut at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics and qualified for the 2014 games in Sochi but was unable to compete due to injury. He posted his highest finish of eighth at the 2018 games in Pyeongchang. Dave was a two-time USCSCA/NSCA selection at UAA and he is working as an accountant. 

Bill Spencer (United States) - Nordic Skiing

Bill Spencer competed in Nordic Skiing at the 1988 Olympic Games in Calgary. 

Martins Onskulis (Latvia) - Alpine Skiing

Martins represented Latvia at the 2018 Sochi Olympics where he competed in the giant slalom and finished 27th in the slalom. 

Lars Flora (United States) - Nordic Skiing

Lars was a two-time Olympian for the United States. He finished 36th in the freestyle sprints and 54th in both the 15-kilometer classic and 30-kilometer freestyle at the 2002 Salt Lake Olympic Games. Four years later in Torino, he finished 12th in the 4x10-kilometer mixed relay, 46th in the freestyle sprints, 48th in the 2x15-kilometer pursuit and 50th in the 15-kilometer classic. He was a two-time All-American for the Seawolves.

Sara Studebaker (United States) - Biathlon

Sara Studebaker competed in the biathlon finishing 17th in the relay, 34th in the 15-kilometer individual, 45th in the sprint and 46 in the pursuit at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. Four years later in Sochi, she finished seventh in the relay, 44th in the sprint, 51st in the pursuit and 55th in the individual. She served as an assistant coach at UAA.

Tom Besh (United States) - Coach Nordic Skiing

Tom Besh served as an assistant coach for Nordic skiing for the United states at the 1980 Lake Placid Games. 

Erik Flora (United States) - Coach Nordic Skiing

Erik served as a coach for Team USA at the 2018 Olympic Games in Pyeongchang. He was a two-time All-American for the Seawolves. He currently serves as the Program Director and University Elite Team Head Coach at Alaska Pacific University. 

Andy Liebner (Mexico) - Coach Nordic Skiing

Andy Liebner served as coach for Mexico at the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics.
