Biography

2005-06: UAA's third-leading scorer (9.7 ppg) and second-leading rebounder (5.3 rpg) ... paced team in blocks (35) and ranked third in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference in that category (1.13 bpg) ... also held GNAC ranks of 20th in rebounding, 21st in FT% (.730) and 23rd in FG% (.505) ... started all 31 games, scoring double-figures 13 times and pulling down two double-doubles ... averaged 14.0 ppg and 6.8 rpg over last four regular-season games as UAA went 3-1 to qualify for NCAA Tournament ... finished tied for 10th on UAA's single-season blocks list, ninth on the career blocks list (45) and third in career blocks per game (1.13) ... season-highs of 26 points (9-11 FG, 8-11 FT) and 12 rebounds came in win over Cal State-Stanislaus in Glacier Classic (Dec. 9); followed with 11 pts, 6 rebounds and career-high-tying 4 assists in win over BYU-Hawaii to earn Glacier Classic Most Outstanding Player honors ... other top games included 22 pts (7-8 FG, 8-9 FT) and 10 rebounds in OT loss at 2nd-ranked Western Washington (Dec. 29); 18 pts (6-11 FG, 6-9 FT), 6 rebounds and 3 assists in home finale, a 99-95 win over 9th-ranked WWU; and 16 pts (3-7 FG, 10-13 FT), 8 rebounds and 4 blocks in comeback home win over UAF (Feb. 25).

2004-05: Paced the Seawolves with 7.4 rebounds per game through the first nine contests, and averaged 12.2 points per game ... scored double figures seven times ... earned All-Tournament Team honors at the Carrs/Safeway Great Alaska Shootout ... had 28 points (8-18 FG, 12-14 FT), 16 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 blocks in 66-65 Shootout victory over High Point (11/27) ... recorded 14-point, 10-rebound double-double in home loss to Humboldt State (12/4) ... made team season-best 5 blocks against Grand Canyon (11/19) ... scored six of his 11 points in the final OT session of UAA's 92-87 triple-OT victory over Caldwell (11/18), and earned a spot on AT&T Alascom All-Jamboree Team.

BEFORE UAA: A first-team All-State and all-South Coast Conference selection after averaging 12.9 points (61% FG, 70% FT) and 7 rebounds per game for a Cerritos College team that won the 1998-99 California community college state title ... played at NAIA Biola (Calif.) University in 2001-02, averaging 7 points and 5 rebounds per game and helping lead the Eagles to a 29-5 record.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for storied Artesia High prep program, earning Suburban League Player of the Year, team MVP, All-State, All-CIF and Best in the West second team honors ... averaged 21 points, 10 rebounds and four assists as a senior ... part of AHS teams that won four straight league titles and finished runner-up in 1997 state finals ... member of Artesia High's and Lakewood Youth halls of fame ... was teammates with former UCLA star and current Charlotte Bobcats guard Jason Kapono.
