Former local prep standout Dylan Hoch joins the Alaska Anchorage men’s basketball staff for his first season as a volunteer assistant coach in 2013-14.

Hoch played collegiately for three seasons at Colorado Christian University in Lakewood, Colo., helping the Cougars reach a pair of NCAA Tournaments. As a senior, he served as a student assistant coach after his playing career was cut short by injury. He graduated from CCU in spring 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in history and a minor in secondary education.

In high school, Hoch was an all-region selection as a senior at Anchorage Christian Schools.
