Biography

2016-17: Was 4th-leading scorer (8.3 ppg), 3rd-leading rebounder and top shot blocker for Seawolf squad that finished 21-8 and placed runner-up in Great Northwest Athletic Conference ... ranked 2nd in GNAC and 11th in NCAA Div. II with 2.62 blocks per game, setting UAA single-season records for bpg and total blocks (76) ... scored double figures 13 times and posted 12 games with 3-plus blocks ... had season-high 6 blocks on four occasions, starting with 9 points and six swats in 76-63 home win over UAF on Jan. 10 ... made Seawolf Jamboree All-Tournament Team with totals of 29 points (12-23 FG), 14 rebounds and 3 steals in wins over BYU-Hawaii and Cal State LA ... other top games included career-high 20 points (8-10 FG, 4-4 FT), 6 blocks and 5 rebounds in 3OT loss to Western Oregon in GNAC Semifinals; 11 points (4-9 FG, 3-3 FT), 4 rebounds and 2 blocks in home win over No. 13 Western Washington; and 10 points (4-6 FG), 6 rebounds and 5 blocks in home win over Concordia-Portland ... finished No. 5 on UAA career blocks list in just 32 games.

BEFORE UAA: Joined UAA as graduate transfer after three seasons at Div. I program South Dakota State, plus redshirt campaign as true freshman in 2012-13 … saw action in 77 career games for the Jackrabbits, averaging 2.1 points, 1.9 rebounds and 0.7 blocks, while shooting  56 percent in 8.4 minutes per contest … part of SDSU squads that posted combined 69-32 record and made three straight postseason appearances, including NCAA Tournament berth in 2015-16.

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned 2011-12 Alaska Gatorade Player of the Year award … three-time All-Northern Lights Conference performer and 2012 NLC Player of the Year … led Warriors to three straight ASAA Class 4A State Tournament appearances, including runner-up finish in 2010 and 3rd-place showing in 2012 … as senior, averaged 20.1 points, 14.6 rebounds and 8.0 blocks per game, posting eight triple-doubles for WHS team that finished 23-4 … put up 15.5 ppg, 10.7 rpg and 5.3 bpg as junior and 13.0 ppg and 9.0 rpg as sophomore … honor roll student with 3.90 GPA.

PERSONAL: Son of Michael and Amie Devine … sister Alysha was 4-year letterwinner for UAA women’s basketball team from 2013-17 ... graduated from South Dakota State in May 2016 and is pursuing second undergraduate degree in finance at UAA.
