Biography

2000-01: One of the most productive scorers and rebounders in UAA history, ranking No. 22 in points (752) and No. 13 among two-year players. His 319 career rebounds rank No. 21 all-time and No. 11 among two-year players...his 14.2 ppg average ranks No. 14 all-time at UAA and his 6.0 rebounding mark is No. 16...other career ranks include three-point percentage (No. 12, .365), field goal percentage (No. 10, .521), free throw percentage (No. 19, .736) and games started (T-No. 19, 53)...despite playing on an injured knee all season, Freeman was the team’s second-leading rebounder and scorer as a senior and did not miss a start...his 15 rebounds at Central Washington were a team season-high and his 19-point, 13-rebound showing against Billings (Feb. 16) was his third double-double of the season and the eighth of his Seawolf career...Freeman was the team’s leading rebounder in Pac West games at 6.9 rpg...his 16-game streak of double-digit scoring ended against DePaul in the Carrs/Safeway Great Alaska Shootout, but he followed that with nine more games in double figures. For his career he scored 20 or more points seven times and reach double figures in 42 of 53 games. His top performances as a senior were a pair of 22-point efforts in wins over Seattle University (Feb. 1) and MSU-Billings (Feb. 17). In the Seattle U. game, he made a key steal with UAA trailing by one with under two minutes remaining and then sank the game-winning free throws.

1999-00: UAA's second-leading scorer at 14.5 ppg...increased his scoring average to 15.9 ppg in conference games...ended the season with 13 straight games scoring in double figures...averaged 17.3 ppg on 54.3 percent shooting over the final 10 games...second on the team with five double-doubles, including three in a row against Western Washington, Central Washington and Simon Fraser...increased his rebounding average from 4.2 to 6.0 after the loss of starting power forward Glen Newbold midway through the season...one of only two Seawolves to start every game...went for 23 points on 10-of-14 shooting and grabbed a career-best 12 rebounds in a comeback win at Simon Fraser.

BEFORE UAA: The 1999 Ricks College MVP, Freeman led the Vikings in rebounds (6.2 rpg) and was their second-leading scorer (12.2 ppg)...shot 54 percent from the floor (130-239) and nearly 39 percent from three-point land (22-57) as a sophomore...helped Ricks to an eighth-place national finish as a freshman...as a redshirt freshman practiced with former Seawolves Clay Anderson and Rick Stafford.

HIGH SCHOOL: A three-sport athlete (basketball, football, track) at Helena High...team MVP in 1992-93 when he set the school record for rebounds in a season (196)...team MVP as a junior...two-year all-conference selection...team captain as a senior and led team to Western Division AA conference title.
