HIGH SCHOOL: Voted AABC 3A Player of the Year and Aurora Conference MVP, averaging 19.2 points, 7.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 1.6 three-pointers per game as senior in 2019-20, leading Valdez to No. 3 seed in regional playoffs prior to premature end of season … scored 1,286 career points, breaking modern-day school records for both points (30) and assists (10) in a game … was MVP of Coastal Holiday Shootout and Valdez Elks Tournament, and made all-tournament teams at Mt. McKinley Classic and Palmer Elks Showdown in final campaign … helped Bucs earn top-5 finishes at ASAA State Championships his first three seasons, including runner-up in 2018-19 … made State All-Tournament Team as a junior, averaging 12.3 points and shooting 6-of-14 from long range in Valdez’s three games, with 17-point effort in semifinal win over Grace Christian and 10 points, 3 assists and 3 steals in 56-53 title-game loss to Anchorage Christian.
