Aaron McPheters joined the UAA athletic department as the director of hockey operations in 2022, after previously serving as an assistant coach with the Fairbanks Ice Dogs of the NAHL.

McPheters was a three-year letterwinner for the Seawolves scoring one goal and six assists in 70 career games.
