Evan Trupp

Evan Trupp joined the University of Alaska Anchorage hockey coaching staff in 2025. He is no stranger to the Anchorage hockey community playing his youth hockey in the area before returning to help the Alaska Aces raise a Kelly Cup Championship and helping the Anchorage Wolverines advance to the Robertson Cup finals. 

Trupp served on the coaching staff of the Anchorage Wolverines (NAHL), including the head coach in 2022-23. The team had a 61-43-10-6 mark and advanced to the Robertson Cup Finals in 2021-22.

He was the Director of Player Development/Associate Head Coach of the Muskegon Lumberjacks (USHL) in 2023-25. The Lumberjacks won the 2025 Clark Cup Championship with Trupp coaching and developing 12 NHL draft picks.

Trupp compiled a distinguished playing career. He tallied 108 points in 157 games at the University of North Dakota. Trupp won two WCHA Broadmoor Trophies (2010, 2011), was a two-time All-Tournament Team selection and the MVP of the 2010 tournament.

He recorded 289 points in 457 professional games across the ECHL, AHL and DEL. Trupp skated in 93 games and notched 77 points for the Alaska Aces and helped them to the 2014 Kelly Cup Championship.

Trupp is a Level 4 USA Hockey Coach and has a bachelor degree in general studies from the University of North Dakota.
