Originally from Red Deer, Alberta, Gant is in his second season as a member of head coach Matt Thomas’ staff as the equipment manager in 2015-16.

Prior to joining the Seawolves, Gant spent the past two seasons as an assistant equipment manager with the Alaska Aces, and in 2011-12 spent a year with the equipment staff of the NHL’s Minnesota Wild. He is a graduate of Maple Ridge Secondary School in British Columbia.
