2006: Concluded successful Seawolf career with a 15th-place finish at the NCAA Championships ... competed in all 11 races ... season-best RMISA meet result was 8th in the 10k freestyle at the Montana State Invitational ... placed fourth in the 5k classical at the Alaska Nordic Cup ... finished RMISA season ranked 11th overall in points in the freestyle.

2005: Placed a career-best second in the women's 15K freestyle at the NCAA Championships, earning her second-career All-America award...recorded two top-10 finishes at the RMISA/NCAA West Regional, placing 4th in the freestyle and 6th in the classical...posted six top-10 results overall in non-dual meets...garnered All-Conference accolades...qualified for Nationals for third straight season.

2004: Had a stellar sophomore campaign which included earning her first career All-America honor after placing ninth in the women's 5K freestyle at the NCAA Championships...finished a career-best eighth in the 5K freestyle at the West Regional...a member of Team USA's Under-23 team, competed at the 2004 FIS U23 Cross Country Championships...was the top American finisher in the women's 5K pursuit, placing 11th...highest finish at U23 Championships was ninth in the women's 15K freestyle...earned All-Academic ski team honors.

2003: Qualified for the NCAA Championships in her first season with the Seawolves...placed 22nd in the women's 15K classic and 18th in the 5K freestyle at Nationals...best finish was a ninth-place outing in the 5K freestyle at the Alaska/Utah Winter Games.

BEFORE UAA: Attended Alaska Pacific University for one season...placed second in the sprint race at the 2002 Junior Nationals in the sprint race (Nordic skiing)...finished eighth at the Alaska State Cross Country running championships in 2000...was a member of two state cross country championship winning teams at East (1998-99) and Grace Christian (2000-01)...also participated in soccer in high school, winning a state title at East in 1998-99.

PERSONAL: Born Nicole Ashley DeYong Dec. 6, 1982 in Anchorage...parents are Arlan and Jan DeYong...interests include hiking, camping and backcounty skiing...majoring in natural sciences.
