2024-25 (Fr.): Named the department's Freshman of the Year...Recorded one of best freshman seasons in program history, averaging 11.3 points, 7.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 2.2 steals and 1.2 blocks for Seawolf team that went 28-5, swept GNAC regular-season and tournament titles, advanced to NCAA Tournament Second Round, and finished No. 17 in final WBCA top-25 poll … tabbed honorable mention All-Great Northwest Athletic Conference, posting league ranks of 6th in rebounding, 3rd in FG% (.526), 4th in blocks, 4th in steals and 2nd in offensive rebounding (2.8 orpg) … ranked 8th nationally among freshmen in steals per game and was No. 1 among freshman non-guards … named to all-tournament teams at Hoops In Hawaii Classic and ASRC/ConocoPhillips Great Alaska Shootout … finished top-10 on UAA freshman lists for points (4th, 372), scoring average (6th), games started (2nd, 32), FG made (4th, 160), FG% (5th), FT made (9th, .52), blocks (3rd, 38), blocks per game (4th), steals (4th, 74), steals per game (5th), rebounds (3rd, 233) and rebounds per game (5th) … had 5th-highest scoring game and best FG pct. (min. 10 att.) for freshman in program history with 26 points (12-15 FG), 10 rebounds and 5 steals in road victory over Western Oregon … averaged 12.5 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 3.0 apg and 2.0 bpg in UAA’s two NCAA Tournament contests, with 16 points (6-9 FG, 4-4 FT), 9 rebounds and 5 assists in 69-66 opening round win over MSU Billings … averaged 10.0 ppg, 6.0 rpg and 2.0 spg in GNAC Tournament victories over Western Washington and Saint Martin’s, with 12 points (5-6 FG) in title game … was UAA’s second-leading scorer (13.1 ppg) and rebounder (7.7 rpg) in GNAC games as Seawolves posted 16-2 record … posted four double-doubles … other top efforts included 18 points (9-16 FG), 9 rebounds and 4 blocks in home win over No. 16 MSU Billings; 19 points and 9 rebounds in road win over Simon Fraser; 22 points (9-13 FG), 12 rebounds and 4 steals in home win over Alaska Fairbanks; and 16 points (7-8 FG), 5 assists and 6 steals in win over Cal Poly Humboldt.
2023-24: Joined Seawolves for second semester as redshirt.
BEFORE UAA: Gained extensive international experience, playing for her country’s age-group national teams at the 2022 U16 Women’s Asian Championship in Jordan and the 2022 U17 World Cup in Hungary ... played for 2023 champion Mainland Pouakai of the Tauihi Basketball Aotearoa league, averaging 5.0 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 16-minute games.
PERSONAL: Born Nov. 14, 2005 in Christchurch, New Zealand … daughter of Jo Best and Warren Rean … has one sibling, Jasmin … grew up also playing netball.
