Former Seawolf Mari Riser is back with the program in 2009-10 for her first season as a graduate assistant coach.
Riser played for the Seawolves from 2005-07, helping the team return to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in seven years as a senior. The Roosevelt, Utah, native averaged 7.6 points and 3.6 rebounds from the guard position in her career, dishing more than two assists per game as well. She was also a Great Northwest Athletic Conference All-Academic selection and received UAA's team Hustle Award.
In addition to her bachelor’s degree in history from UAA in 2007, Riser also owns a an associate's degree from Western Wyoming Community College, where she was a two-time all-conference pick on the basketball court.
She is currently studying for a master’s in teaching degree at UAA.
