Patrick Flanigin returns to Ryan McCarthy's UAA staff as a volunteer assistant for the fifth straight year in 2018-19.
In his first three seasons with the Seawolves, the team has combined to go and NCAA Div. II-best 97-7 overall and reach the National Title Game in 2015-16.
A former star at the University of Wyoming, he also played professionaly in the former Continental Basketball Association for the Anchorage Northern Knights and the Billings Volcanoes.
In addition to basketball, Flanigin is active in the Anchorage community, having served as president of the YMCA and coaching kids in the First Tee gold program.
He and his wife Mary have lived in Anchorage since the late 1970s.
