Former Seawolf Tamar Gruwell is back with the program in 2010-11 for her first season as a graduate assistant coach.
Gruwell played for the Seawolves from 2008-10, earning Team MVP, Second Team All-Great Northwest Athletic Conference and GNAC All-Academic Team honors as a senior. The Seawolves went 54-9 overall with Gruwell in the lineup at shooting guard, earning the GNAC title and a trip to the NCAA Div. II Final 4 in 2008-09.
Before coming north, Gruwell was an all-conference performer at Sierra College in Rocklin, Calif., where she earned an AA degree in liberal arts. The Vacaville, Calif., native earned her bachelor's in history from UAA in August 2010 and is current pursuing a master's in teaching.
