Biography

2003-04: Battled through a preseason leg injury to come back and contribute 2.9 ppg in 14 games...top performances included 4 points, 4 rebounds and 3 blocks in 13 minutes of a 2-point win at UAF (Jan. 31); and 12 points (3-3 FG, 6-7 FT) in 13 minutes of a win over Seattle (Feb. 21)...finished No. 17 on UAA career field goal percentage list at .458 (130-284).

2002-03: Led Seawolves in field goal percentage (.468) and ranked second on the team in scoring (12.2), rebounding (7.0), double-doubles (4) and blocks (0.69) ... held GNAC ranks of ninth in rebounding, double-doubles and blocks, and 18th in scoring ... scored in double figures 16 times, including eight straight games from Feb. 10-Mar. 6 ... had four games with 20 points or more, and reached double-digit rebounds on five occasions...best game came Feb. 20 in a road victory at Saint Martin's, putting up UAA season-highs of 25 points (11-16 FG) and 17 rebounds ... earned GNAC honorable mention Player of the Week Dec. 23 after averaging 20 points on UAA's Southern California road trip ... other top performances included 20 points (7-8 FG) and nine rebounds in road loss at NW Nazarene; 14 points and 10 rebounds in home win over UAF; and 15 points (6-6 FG, 3-4 FT) and six rebounds in home win over NW Nazarene.

BEFORE UAA: Started two seasons at Northeast (Neb.) Community College, averaging 8.0 points and 3.9 rebounds and 56.4 percent shooting. As a sophomore, helped Hawks to 25-6 record and National Junior College Athletic Association Region IX quarterfinals ... earned Academic All-America honors in 2001-02.

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned 11 letters at Osmond High in basketball (4), volleyball (3) and track (4) ... named all-conference in junior and senior seasons, leading 1999-00 squad to 19-5 record and berth in state tournament...recognized on Norfolk Daily News' Top 15 in Northeast Nebraska team as a senior ... participated three years at state track and field meet in high jump and holds school record in the event.

PERSONAL: Born Mary Mae Aschoff on Jan. 11, 1982 in Osmond, Neb….daughter of Ronald and Edith Aschoff ... youngest of seven children ... natural sciences major.
