BEFORE UAA: Played junior season at NAIA Spring Hill (Ala.) College…played freshman and sophomore seasons at Marshalltown (Iowa) Community College, where she was an All-Region XI selection…averaged 10 points and 9 assists per game as a sophomore, breaking Region XI assist record and helping MCC to second place in NJCAA Region XI Tournament.

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned All-Region III First Team and honorable mention all-state honors at Colony High, averaging 14 points, 5 assists and 3 rebounds her senior campaign…part of Knights’ three-time Region III championship teams, which included back-to-back 4A state titles in 1997 and 1998 and runner-up finish in 1999.

PERSONAL: Born Monique Marie Bean on June 30, 1980 in Pierre, S.D….daughter of Doug and Margaret Bean...elementary education major.
