2011-12: Played key reserve role as 6th-leading scorer (6.1 ppg) and 4th-leading rebounder (3.3 rpg) for UAA club that went 30-5, reached NCAA Elite Eight and swept Great Northwest Athletic Conference regular-season and tournament titles … ranked 2nd on team and 16th in GNAC with 1.5 steals per game, plus 3rd on team and 12th in GNAC with 0.5 blocks per contest … scored double figures eight times and grabbed 5 or more rebounds on 10 occasions … had 4 points, 5 rebounds and made game-clinching block with 5 seconds left in UAA’s 68-63 win at 4th-ranked UC San Diego in West Regional title game … scored career-high 15 points (5-9 FG, 4-4 FT) in just 19 minutes in road win at Western Oregon, along with 4 steals … grabbed career-high 6 steals and dished 4 assists in home win over WOU … other top performances included 7 points, career-high 5 assists and 0 turnovers in home win over Seattle Pacific; 12 points (2-3 FG, 7-8 FT) and career-high 8 rebounds in GNAC Tournament title-game win over Western Washington; 8 points (5-7 FT) and 6 rebounds in NCAA 1st Round win over Cal St. LA; and 10 points (4-6 FG) in Carrs/Safeway Great Alaska Shootout loss against Miami (Fla.), the No. 7-ranked Div. I team in the nation.

2010-11: Was 6th-leading scorer (5.4 ppg) and 5th-leading rebounder (3.0 rpg) for Seawolf team that went 27-7 and reached NCAA Tournament 2nd Round … also averaged 1.3 steals and 0.5 blocks per game and ranked 3rd on team with 30 three-pointers made … earned 11 starting nods, including all five postseason games … scored double figures three times, including season-high 14 points (5-9 FG, 4-7 3FG) in home win over Central Washington … scored 9 points (3-4 3FG) in 68-67 victory over Western Washington in Great Northwest Athletic Conference Tournament title game, helping UAA snap WWU’s 26-game home win streak … named Carrs/Safeway Player of the Game in UAA’s victory over Division I San Jose State, tallying 8 points (2-3 3FG, 2-2 FT), 3 rebounds and 5 steals … other top performances included 8 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks in GNAC tourney 1st-round win over NW Nazarene; 5 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 blocks in GNAC tourney semifinal win over Seattle Pacific; and 10 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists in regular-season loss at Western Washington.

BEFORE UAA: Earned First Team All-State and All-Foothill Conference honors as sophomore in 2009-10 … led Marauders with 11.8 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game, plus 2.1 assists, 1.0 blocks and shot .349 from three-point range … named MVP of AVC Holiday and Santa Barbara tournaments … led AVC to Santa Barbara tourney title with 17 points and 17 rebounds in overtime victory over Grossmont … scored career-high 29 points in home win over Rio Hondo … helped AVC to 53-16 record and back-to-back Foothill Conference titles over two seasons … posted freshman averages of 10.3 ppg and 6.2 rpg, shooting numbers of 46 percent from floor and 76 percent from free-throw line.

HIGH SCHOOL: Pulled down 15 rebounds and named Best Defensive Player in prestigious Rosamond Rotary All-Star Game as senior … lettered three years in basketball, four in track & field, plus two years in volleyball … helped PHS to three straight league titles in basketball and one in track … placed 2nd in high jump at Golden League meet with leap of 5’2”.

PERSONAL: Born Tijera A. Mathews on July 11, 1989 in Los Angeles … daughter of Andrew Mathews and Janice Busbee … other interests include volleyball and photography … physical education major.
