Biography

2004: Qualified for fourth straight USAG Collegiate Championships all-around and earned her first All-America honor with an eighth-place finish (38.225) ... also tied for ninth on floor (9.8) and placed 15th on vault (9.575) at USAGs ... earned MPSF All-Conference First Team honors for floor and all-around ... named MPSF Gymnast of the Week (Feb. 2) after winning the all-around (38.125) in UAA's first-ever dual win over UC Davis...her 38.148 season all-around average was third-best in school history, while her 38.725 score at the MPSF Championships was eighth-best ever at UAA ... posted three of the top 10 floor exercise scores in school history, including a 9.875 at MPSFs ... season floor average of 9.756 was second-best in UAA history, while vault (9.513) and bars (9.504) were both fifth on the list ... finished Seawolf career with 51 all-around competitions, topping the 38-point barrier 15 times ... only gymnast on the squad to compete all-around in all 13 meets, helping Seawolves post the 10 best team scores in school history.

2003: Recorded UAA's top all-around average for the third straight year with a 37.523...qualified in the all-around at both the NCAA West Regionals and USA Gymnastics Championships...she and teammate Jesse Currie became just the fifth and sixth Seawolves ever to qualify for the West Region meet...at West Regions, placed 15th of 20 all-arounders with a 38.225...at USAGs, finished 16th in the all-around with a 37.675 and missed All-America status on vault by 0.05 of a point, finishing 10th with a 9.65...career-high 38.500 all-around at MPSF Championships on Mar. 29 tied for seventh on UAA's individual all-around scores list and made her just the third Seawolf (Elena Tkacheva and Jessi Simmons) to post a 38.500 or higher...season averages in all-around (7th, 37.523), on vault (4th, 9.513), bars (6th, 9.344) and floor (5th, 9.594) were all among the top 10 seasons in school history...remarkably consistent on vault, scoring between 9.525 and 9.725 in the final nine meets...9.725 vault at Rhode Island on Jan. 25 tied for third-best in school history, while 9.7 on bars at USAGs tied for seventh-best ever at UAA...excelled in the classroom with 3.61 GPA, fourth-highest on the MPSF All-Academic Team.

2002: One of two Seawolves to compete in the all-around at USAG Nationals in April, finishing tied for 12th on vault (9.65), tied for 23rd on floor (9.775) and tied for 15th in the all-around (37.425) ... registered team's top scores on every event but bars .   scored 38.000 all-around to lead UAA to a school-record 188.175 on Feb. 8 in a near-upset of UC Davis ... scored 37.225 or higher all-around in season/s last 10 meets, including season-best 38.200 at Seattle Pacific on March 23 ... won all-around in UAA's tri-meet victory over UMass and MIT (Feb. 19), and in dual win at Division I Vermont (Feb. 23).

2001: UAA's top performer throughout the season, earning team-best scores in the all-around (38.325) and on vault (9.525), bars (9.525) and floor (9.75)...placed 12th in the all-around and on floor at the USAG National meet April 12...won the beam competition and topped a field of 11 all-arounders Feb. 17 in a four-team meet at Massachusetts...one of only two Seawolves to compete in every meet...nominated for UAA's Athlete of the Year award.

BEFORE UAA: USAG Region 4 National Team member in 1998 and 1999...graduated from Forest Lake Senior High in June 2000 where she was a National Honor Society member.

PERSONAL: Born Mandi Kae Burdick on May 1, 1982 in St. Paul, Minn....enjoys photography...daughter of Bruce and Barb Burdick ... journalism and public communications major.
