A four-year letterwinner from 2015-18, Kendra McPheters returns to the Seawolf program for her sixth year as assistant coach and fifth season overall in 2026.
After serving in multiple volunteer roles in 2019 and 2020, Daniels joined the staff full-time during the pandemic and aided in fundraising efforts that eventually helped secure the permanent reinstatement of the Seawolf program in 2022. Since then, she has helped UAA to rebuild the program competitively, while continuing its superior results in the classroom, with UAA finishing top-2 nationally in combined team GPA for three of the last four seasons.
Daniels graduated with her degree in health sciences in 2018, and coached both introductory and compulsory level gymnastics at Anchorage Gymnastics Association.
The Veneta, Ore., native was an All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation performer on balance beam for UAA, posting two of the top six regional qualifying scores in program history as a junior and senior. Also a major contributor on floor exercise, Daniels was a two-time MPSF All-Academic Team honoree.
Formerly Kendra Daniels, McPheters was wed in summer 2023 to former UAA hockey player and current assistant coach Aaron McPheters.
