Former Seawolf star Tia Allen joins the Alaska Anchorage coaching staff for her first year as an assistant coach in 2026.

The Spokane, Wash., native was an AVCA honorable mention All-American and an All-Great Northwest Athletic Conference selection as a senior in 2025, helping the Seawolves to a share of the GNAC title and an NCAA Tournament berth. BIO

An outside hitter, she became the first player in GNAC history to accumulate at least 1,200 kills, 1,200 digs, 100 aces and 100 assists, having played her first two seasons at league rival Saint Martin’s. She also became the first Seawolf student-athlete in 22 years to play both volleyball and basketball, suiting up for UAA’s hoops squad as a senior.

Allen earned her B.A. in art in 2026, graduating with magna cum laude honors.
