Ian Marks began his first year as Assistant Athletic Director for Media Relations at UAA in the fall of 2017. He serves as the primary contact for the ice hockey, skiing, cross country and track & field teams.
Prior to joining the staff at UAA, he spent the previous four years as the sports information director at Colorado Mesa University. While at CMU, he hosted numerous RMAC and NCAA Championship events.
He has also worked in the media relations offices at Michigan Tech, UW-Superior, Montana and Pittsburg State.
Marks was a member of the soccer team at UW-Superior, where he earned a bachelors degree in print journalism in 2005.
Marks resides in Anchorage with his wife Bess and son Liam.Â
