HILO, Hawaii (Jan. 15) - Chris Hamey scored 20 points and Taylor Wagner tallied a career-high 15, but it wasn't enough as the UAA men's basketball team fell 81-68 to Hawaii-Hilo on Saturday night. The game marked the end of a seven-game, 16,000-mile road trip for the Seawolves (8-6, 1-3 Pac West). Stanley Ibia led the Vulcans (8-7, 3-1 PWC) with 20 points.
Scott Larrabee scored 13 points and Greg Freeman had 11 for UAA, which led 36-31 at halftime. But the tired Seawolves were outrebounded 45-28 and couldn't hold on to the lead in the second half.
UAA returns to action Thursday at the Sports Center with a 7:05 p.m. tip-off against Western Washington.
