Seawolf Golf Tourney filling fast

ANCHORAGE –Time is running out to enter the 25th annual Seawolf Golf Tournament, presented by Kendall Lexus of Alaska, set for Thursday, August 6, at the Eagleglen Golf Course on Elmendorf Air Force Base. Entries are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis for the 36-team event and a full field is expected.

The format is a four-player, best-ball scramble over 18 holes, with check-in at 7 a.m. and a shotgun start 8 a.m. Tournament entry-fee donations are $800 per team.

Entry fees include greens fees, two carts per team, tournament gifts, on-course refreshments, and a lunch/awards banquet following the tournament. There will be special prizes for longest drive, closest to the pin and holes-in-one.

The event will also feature an opportunity win a trip for two to the national Lexus Champions for Charity golf tournament at Pebble Beach, Dec. 9-13, 2009 via our Seawolf Golf Raffle. This golfer's dream package, valued at more than $10,000, includes one round of golf each at the Pebble Beach Golf Links, The Links at Spanish Bay and Spyglass Hill Golf Course, first class airfare on Alaska Airlines, deluxe accommodations at the Inn at Spanish Bay, and local ground transportation.

Tee, green and cart sponsorships for the Seawolf Golf Tournament are also available.

Entry forms may be downloaded at GoSeawolves.com, or in person at the UAA Athletic Department (Rm. 220, Wells Fargo Sports Complex) and all Anchorage-area courses and golf shops. Raffle tickets are available for purchase at UAA Athletics and at various locations throughout Anchorage.
