ANCHORAGE -
The No. 22-ranked Alaska Anchorage men's basketball team closed out its
non-conference season with a convincing 95-56 win over Lincoln Christian at the
Wells Fargo Sports Complex Saturday night.
The
Seawolves (7-2) extended their win streak to seven games despite playing without
the services of five players, including four potential starters, on the
injured list. The Red Lions from Lincoln, Ill., fell to 2-10.
UAA's 6-9
senior Taylor Rohde led the way with a game-high 24 points and 12 rebounds for his
second double-double in as many nights and his third of the season. Steve White
and Marcus Jackson added 15 apiece and Colton Lauwers 14.
Travis
Thompson recorded 12 assists for his second double-digit assist total in three
games.
LCU was led
the trio of Mark Hamm (14 points), Chris Lawson (13 points) and Brady Cremeens
(13 points).
UAA
outrebounded LCU, 45-26, for the game and the Seawolves shot a solid 49 percent
from the field. All nine available Seawolf players saw double-figure minutes
and all broke into the scoring column.
UAA will resume Great Northwest Athletic Conference play as
its hosts Central Washington on Dec. 29 and Northwest Nazarene on Dec. 31.
