Season ends with three more All-America honors

ALLENDALE, Mich. – The Alaska Anchorage Seawolves concluded the final day of competition at the 2015 NCAA Div. II Outdoor Track & Field Championships Saturday with three more All-America honors at Grand Valley State Stadium.

The Seawolves wrapped up the 2014-15 season with All-America honors in seniors Haleigh Lloyd and Franz Burghagen and sophomore Jamie Ashcroft. Combined, UAA amassed five All-America accolades throughout the three-day meet.

Ending her collegiate career with her second career All-America honor in the 400-meter hurdles was Lloyd. A local of Ladysmith, B.C., Lloyd bested her Great Northwest Athletic Conference record with a time of 59.17 – .03 faster than her previous best (59.20). Additionally, she is the first GNAC women to ever score a point in the 100 meters at the national meet.

In the men's javelin, Burghagen collected his third career All-America result, taking fifth with a toss of 223-11, which was furnished on his second attempt. A local of Berlin, Germany, Burghagen also finished runner-up in the event a year ago and third in 2013.
