ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – Nick Wicks scored his third goal of the season for Alaska Anchorage but it wasn't enough as Bowling Green defeated Alaska Anchorage 3-1 Friday.
Alec Rauhauser put the Falcons on the scoreboard with his wrist shot at 2:36 of the first period.
Cameron Wright extended the BGSU lead to 2-0 with his seventh goal of the season at 17:27.
Bowling Green's Connor Ford scored the only goal of the second period unassisted at 1:18.
Nick Wicks scored the lone UAA goal with a high wrist shot at 1:35 of the third period. He was assisted by Braden Camrud and Drayson Pears.
The Seawolves pulled Kristian Stead, who finished with 34 saves, with over two minutes remaining but could not light the lamp.
Both teams finished 0-for-3 on the powerplay, but the Seawolves accumulated 45 of the 55 penalty minutes in the game.
The Falcons out-shot the Seawolves 37-16.
The two teams will close out the weekend series Saturday.
