ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – Sigurd Roenning of Alaska Anchorage won and teammate JC Schoonmaker was third in the men's classic sprint Monday at Kincaid Park.

Sigurd Roenning set a blistering pace from the start and built a substantial lead of nearly 30 yards half through the race, but the field would bunch together later in the race creating a true sprint finish for the line. Roenning held on for the win with teammate JC Schoonmaker losing second place by a photo finish.

Tracen Knopp finished 20^th, followed by Toomas Kollo 22^nd, Brandon Herhusky 28^th and Marcus Deuling 35^th.

Casey Wright led a trio of Seawolves into the semifinals of the women's race. Wright finished 11^th, followed by Natalie Hynes 14^th and Hanna Rudd 17^th. Jenna DiFolco placed 20^th, and Michaela Keller-Miller was 22^nd.

Julia Richter of Utah won the women's race.

Alaska Anchorage currently sits fifth in the team standings with 241 points.

The Seawolves will compete in the RMISA/NCAA Regional freestyle races Wednesday at Government Peak in Palmer, Alaska.
