ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – Alex Frye scored his seventh goal of the season for Alaska Anchorage who dropped a 7-1 decision to #3 Minnesota State Friday.
Nick Rivera scored an early goal for the Mavericks at 4:37 of the first period.
MSU would score three goals in the second and three more in the third.
Alex Frye put the Seawolves on the scoreboard thanks to assists from Tomi Hiekkavirta and Luc Brown at 15:58.
MSU led 37-21 in shots and finished 1-for-4 on the powerplay. UAA was 0-for-3 on the man-advantage.
Kristian Stead made 25 saves for UAA and allowed all seven goals. Brandon Perrone made five saves in 16 minutes of relief work.
The two teams will close out the series Saturday.
