Seawolves roll to record road win over Bethesda

ANAHEIM, Calif. – Junior guard Hayley Berfield scored 23 points and freshman guard Elaina Mack added a career-high 19 points as the Alaska Anchorage women's basketball team rolled to a 110-29 victory over Bethesda in its non-conference finale Monday at the Salvation Army Arena.

Ranked No. 14 in the WBCA NCAA Div. II Top 25 poll, the Seawolves (9-2) also got eight points and a career-high 15 rebounds from sophomore forward Kate Robertson as they set a program record for largest margin of victory in a road game.

Senior forward Vishe' Rabb had 17 points and senior guard Ra'Anaa Bey had 12 points for UAA, which racked up 28 steals on 38 Flames turnovers.

The Seawolves return to the road after the holiday break to resume their Great Northwest Athletic Conference schedule, facing defending GNAC champion Western Washington on Dec. 29 (6 p.m. AST) in Bellingham, Wash. Check GoSeawolves.com for live video and stats links.
