ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – The University of Alaska Anchorage hockey teams win over Boston College in the 1991 NCAA Hockey Tournament was inducted into the Alaska Sports Hall of Fame in the moment category Thursday night.
The Seawolves earned an at-large berth in the 1991 NCAA Tournament with a 20-15-4 record.
Boston College hosted Alaska Anchorage in a best-of-three game series to open the NCAA Tournament.
Rob Conn, Brian Kraft and Steve Bogoyevac each scored for the Seawolves to win the first game 3-2 over the Eagles.
UAA completed the two-game upset by winning the second game 3-1 thanks to goals from Tim Kollman, Jeff Batters and Trent Pankewicz.
Paul Krake made a combined 62 saves in goal for the Seawolves.
Northern Michigan, who would go on to win the National Championship, swept Alaska Anchorage in the second round 8-5, 5-3.
