ANCHORAGE (Nov. 24) –
Jazzpher Evans scored a career-high 21 points, but Alaska Anchorage could not overcome the hot shooting of Adams State guard Harmanie Dominguez as the visitors rallied for an 83-82 women's basketball victory Friday night at the Alaska Airlines Center.
The Seawolves (2-2) also got 20 points from junior center
Tori Hollingshead and 15 points from sophomore in the loss.
The Grizzlies (4-3) got 30 points on 11-of-17 shooting – including 8 of 13 from three-point range – from Dominguez as they shot 49 percent and forced 26 turnovers. Kiiyani Anitelu added 16 points off the bench for the visitors from Alamosa, Colo., while point guard Angeline Nageak had 14 points and seven assists.
