ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – The University of Alaska Anchorage had four different players score in a 4-3 win over Arizona State Saturday.
"Gutsy effort by our guys finishing the six games in nine nights," said head coach Matt Shasby. "Nolan Kent gave us another great performance. Looking forward to taking a couple days off and getting ready for Lindenwood."
Caleb Huffman opened the scoring with his first career goal for the Seawolves at 11:51 of the opening period.
Ryan Alexander evened it up with his 11th goal of the season with less than two minutes remaining in the first.
Maximilion Helgeson scored the lone goal in the second period at 5:47. The goal was his eighth of the season, most on the team.
The third period featured four goals over a three-minute span.
Matt Allen scored the lone powerplay-goal of the game at 12:01.
Josh Doan scored the first of two goals at 13:35, but William Gilson answered with a goal at 14:14.
Doan scored the final goal of the game at 15:05.
ASU out-shot UAA 32-27, and Nolan Kent finished with 29 saves.
Alaska Anchorage will host Lindenwood in the final series of the season March 10-11.
