SEATTLE – The University of Alaska Anchorage track and field teams closed out the weekend with several top-10 performances at the UW Invite Saturday.
"We followed up yesterday with another strong showing today," said head coach Ryan McWilliams. "We are looking forward to getting back to the grind to sharpen up before we focus on the meets at the end of the indoor season."
Vivien Liessfeld finished ninth in the long jump with a leap of 18-5, fourth-best all-time at UAA. She finished 28th in the 60 with a time of 8.02, eighth-best at UAA.
Riday Jana ran 7.12 to finish 19th in the men's 60, 10th-fastest all-time at UAA.
Kevin Angarita ran 49.25 to finish 10th in the 400 and 7.14 in the 60 to finish 21st.
Joei Vidad and Blanca De Arvizu Sarrias finished 21st (59.69) and 22nd (59.73) in the 400.
Jess Chisar finished 22nd in the 800 in a time of 2:13.77, sixth-fastest all-time at UAA.
Alaska Anchorage will compete at the Husky Classic and the Whitworth Invitational Feb. 9-10.
