Seawolves skate to tie with Lakers

ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – Conor Cole, Ryan Johnson, Dylan Finlay and Dimitry Kebreau each tallied multiple points for the University of Alaska Anchorage in a 4-4 tie with Lake Superior State Saturday.

Ryan Johnson opened the scoring for the Seawolves with a power-play goal at 8:28 of the first period, but the Lakers responded with goals by Sasha Teleguine and Branden Piku at 12:25 and 19:16.

Dimitry Kebreau scored his third goal of the season for UAA at 16:53 of the second period. Kebreau has tallied seven points (one goal, six assists) in his last three games for the Seawolves.

The third period featured four goals, three coming on the powerplay.

Conor Cole lit the lamp for his second goal of the season at 39 seconds of the third period to give UAA a 3-2 lead.

Lake Superior State tied the game with a power-play goal by Connor Milburn at 3:18, and Timo Bakos gave the Lakers their second lead of the game with an even-strength goal at 11:08.

Ryan Johnson tied the game with his second power-play goal of the evening at 14:09.

UAA scored a season-high three power-play goals to finish 3-for-6 on the man advantage.

LSSU finished 1-for-6.

The Seawolves won the shootout after Ryan Johnson scored in the fifth round.

UAA was out-shot 32-26.

Greg Orosz finished with 28 saves for the Seawolves.

UAA and LSSU will close out the weekend series Sunday.
