Krivtsov stops 44 in 1-1 tie with Badgers

MADISON, Wis. (Nov. 30) – Freshman goaltender Tyler Krivtsov made 44 saves and the Alaska Anchorage hockey team nearly made a Ryan Johnson second-period goal hold up Saturday, earning a 1-1 tie with Wisconsin at the Kohl Center.

Getting just his third starting nod of the season, Krivtsov made 15 saves in the third period and five more in the extra session as UAA (2-10-2) overcame a 45-15 disadvantage in shots on goal.

The Badgers (5-8-1) got a tying goal from Ryland Mosley with 19 seconds left in the third period after pulling goalie Tommy Scarfone for a 6-on-5 advantage.

UAA scored with just 26 seconds left in the second period when Johnson tallied his fifth goal of the season on assists from Dylan Finlay and Dimitry Kebreau. It was the team-leading eighth assist and 11th point for Kebreau, while Finlay picked up his fourth helper.

The Seawolves stay on the road for three more games this week, starting Wednesday at 3 p.m. AST against Stonehill in North Easton, Mass. Find live video and stats links at GoSeawolves.com.
